We would like to take this opportunity to ask that you consider membership in the Missouri Association of Tax Practitioners. As you may know, our members are attorneys, CPA's, Enrolled Agents, professional accountants, bookkeepers, and tax preparers who work with all types of clients in the fields of accounting and tax return preparation. Membership affords you many opportunities to add to your knowledge and expertise in your particular field, as well as offering you exposure to experts in a wide range of related fields which can be of unlimited benefit in building your professional career. The Missouri Association of Tax Practitioners sponsors Spring and Fall Conferences and a Tax Update Seminar in late summer. These conferences consist of a series of in-depth presentations by renowned professionals speaking on Federal and State tax regulations and issues. For those members in the Kansas City or St. Louis areas, there are local chapters of the association that have monthly meetings. These meetings offer an opportunity for the practitioners to meet with others active in the industry and a chance to discuss problems common to their practice.
Regular membership in the State organization costs $100.00 per year and Associate membership, for those who aren't attorneys, CPA's, or Enrolled Agents, is $75.00 per year. Please remember that membership in the Missouri Association of Tap Practitioners affords you discounts on the registration fees at both the Spring Tax Conference held in May and the Fall Tax Conference held each November. These discounts on the registration fees, in effect, enable you to recover your annual dues each year.
